Mine was delivered Thursday from 4 Wheel Parts. Got it replaced today. I tell you what, the stock stabilizer is pretty stiff while checking it after I got it off. My truck is a 2017 f250.
I was thinking about going that same route with an aftermarket single. But my truck is one of the unfortunate ones that actually had death wobble (I hate that term) and is completely stock right down to the original tires at the time DW occurred. Didn’t want to deal with it again so went the dual route. Also feel like the drag link and maybe the track bar received undue wear and tear for the few thousand miles the truck was wobbling so working on a slow plan to replace them too. They both feel like they have too much movement in the joints/bushings to me. The tie rod ends feel nice and tight though so not going to mess with them...... yet!
I’ve had the DW, went to ford and got a new dampener. Since then, everything still feels off...too loose and I’m nervous at highway speeds when I hit a bump. Ive since took my truck to a local shop and had it inspected. They said my drag link are a little loose and go to ford to get them covered under warranty. They also said additional stabilizers won’t really help, just mask the problem. They said I need to get a proper alignment and some new tires and then go from there. I’m tempted to skip the dealer and go aftermarket but if I can get new links, maybe just get them replaced. I just want to feel safe again.
I ordered from 4wheelparts Friday Aug 7. I dont think it was in stock but finally shipped on the 12th. It is scheduled to be here this Friday the 21st.
So its about a 2 week process for me ...... just FYI
Is the dual vs single stabilizer more of an issue with a lifted truck vs stock height? I am stock height and upgraded the single stabilizer and it feels great.
I got the new Bilstein in last week, installed today. Instructions say factory service manual torque specs. Still have not found what that should be by searching yet... anyone know off-hand? Thanks...
In the service manual for my 2019 F250 the following are the torque settings:
Damper to Frame bolt (passenger side) 59ft-lbs (80nm)
Damper to center link bolt (drivers side) 66 ft-lbs (90nm)

I put a Rancho single stabilizer on my truck, the torque on the taper bolt was different than stock. I’m thinking 45 lbs but not 100% sure. Had the first one snap off trying to reach that number, the steel was defiantly softer than the stock. The replacement one I just tightened down till the taper was fully engaged.

The Bilstein one is just a replacement shock in the stock location and the directions specifically say to torque to factory specs which is what I did and it works great
Installed Bilstein SS yesterday on my 19 250. I was surprised that it made such a difference. Steering has settled and drives like it should. I never had DW but did have some bump steer. The stock SS appeared to be good, but wasn't doing a good job. I'll be installing a Bilstein 5100 at each corner soon.
