I have a 2002 f350 crew cab short bed driving down the road The truck just goes to idle and have no throttle response The glow plug sign the water and fuel sign and the engine sign all come on. If I let off the pedal the truck has throttle response again and a couple seconds later all the lights go out. It happens in all range of speeds, any help would be appreciated.
Definitely sounds like loose wire, loose fuse, bad contact, etc.
Some have found that with the age of our truck the contacts for fuse have lost some of the holding power / friction. check for loose fuses by wiggling.
Also check the 42 pin harness on top of the engine where it crosses the driver side valve cover. See if it has chaffed on the valve cover and worn thru.
Does your overdrive light flash when this happens? if so you may need to open the covers on the steering column and check the wire harness on top for chaffing. Let us know what you find.
Has it always done this? I ask because I had a similar problem with a side job I did in an 02. That thing would go to idle if you did WOT and would not go over 75 mph, turns out that truck was tuned to do that on purpose by the previous owner, the way I found out was by changing the pcm with a spare I had, weird but I guess the guy had kids that liked speed
