on 17+ fuel filter under hood has 5/16 fitting has 1/8 in hose barb well changing fuel filter in broke off got on line common enough they have just fitting (HC3Z-9A564-A) instead of buying kit from ford $130+
they have one that has cover over barb reviews says not good some diesel shop sells org part fitting only. but they were a week out so went to auto zone too get some hose to fit over

get pack of replacement clips, 5/16 fuel line 3 or 4 ins and clamps and vacuum connector.(dorman 47309) cut plastic tube and heat tube enough to push on metal barb clamp hose between barb and vac
fitting plug it in and connect small line bleed and go. than while driving to town got to thinking stoped by pick a part and got some fitting cheep that were 90 degree better locking tab now just to get brass barb

One thing worth mentioning, on thermal plastic always use a heat gun on the fitting. It will allow the plastic to form to the barb and prevent blow outs. You can see how the factory fittings were heated and in prevents the fitting from pulling.
