2007 fuel gauge sensor

Is the 2007 Excursion 6.0 diesel just like this


Or does it differ?

Dropping the tank doesn't seem like much fun.....

Verify the correct year of your EX, '05 was the last year of the big wagons production.
Dropping the tank is actually not too bad of a job, of course you'll want the fuel level to be as low as possible before starting, I've pumped mine out both times that I dropped my tank. There are only 4 bolts holding the tank up and the supply and return hoses have enough slack to allow getting the tank down before having to disconnect them. You do need to disconnect the fuel fill and vent hoses prior to lowering it though. A standard rolling floor jack works fine but a nice transmission or motorcycle/ATV jack would be even better to move the tank down and back up again.
