no crank
no crank
mine is not cranking, fender relay wont energize
I can jump the fender relay (Big post to little one) and start it up, so i know the coil is most likely ok
turn key to start and when pressing clutch a relay in dash does click
I seem to recall a print on here but i do have PATS and thinking maybe thats doing it but no diagram of how its wired in

So if waited for GP to cycle, it would crank over.
Coil ohmed out a bit high but not enough to worry me
GF was over and had her hold my meter for a few tests.
with only 8 volts (GP engaged) Fender relay cant pull in but with 11 (GP OFF) it can pull in. Voltage drop through the dash, key switch and wiring wont allow it to see the battery voltage. just like our head lights!!!
replaced the fender relay and now it starts up fine with 8v on relay coil.
