Hey guys, new to forum and about to purchase my first F-250. I’m getting a 2020 F-250 STX with the 7.3 4x4. I already have tires ordered, 315/70r18 Toyo MT, the dealership is going to put on before I pickup my truck. They are also tinting window and installing katzkin leather.
The question is, will 315/70r18 rub on my stock truck? I opted to wait to level until I see how it rides. The dealership wanted $1000 for simple 2” level. I will wait until I know if I need to level or not. Do y’all think it will require the level?
I dont see the height being an issue without lift, its only 1" taller overalll than a stock 20" wheel equiped truck would have. But the width on stock wheels could cause some rubbing under certain situations. Like when turned full lock entering a driveway might rub radius arms, lift wont fix that.
Another member shared a link with you (another thread) that shows a guy who has even wider tires on stock wheels. He does have a 1.5" lift but I dont believe that changes whether or not it rubs on radius arms. I would maybe hit him uo to see if he is experiencing rubbing anywhere.
My opinion is youll be fine, you might have to baby it a little in certain situations but the truck wont be non operational.

So the dealership installed the tires yesterday. They look great even though it’s a crappy photo by salesman. I’m curious to see if they rub! I ordered a Ready Lift 1 1/2 leveling block and will install as soon as I get the truck.

Looks sharp! How do the tires ride an how much if any "tread howl" is there?
Maybe you can confirm this but when I looked the wheel sizes 8" was included which seems like a typo or is that true?
So I decided last minute not to buy the 2020 with the 7.3! I found a great deal on a 2019 6.7. It an XLT with the premium package. I still went with 315/70r18 though! I have leveled the front yet, but I have a 2” BDS kit on the way. The tires measure a true 35”, which is kinda disappointing because I was hoping for closer to 36”. I do not have any running what so ever on stock wheels.
Looks great. Picking up a 2020 Lariat on Friday, comes with the plow package, I'm curious if I could run that big of a tire without leveling or lifting.
Would like to see a side profile picture once you level it. I'm thinking of going with this tire size as well.
Sorry for the parking lot pick, I haven’t had a chance to take any good ones yet. I installed 2” BDS kit and added coil spacer on top for a total of 2.5”.
