Airbag light flashes ones then pause then 5 times. I’ve searched everywhere I could on the internet I’ve gotten a couple mixed answers. Probably been discussed here but I used the search function and came up with noting.
1994 F150 5.0 rear wheel drive XLT. The airbag control module keeps beeping. It’s draining the battery. I keep having to unplug the battery cable to be able to start the truck in the morning.
I know the quick fix is to unplug it but I don’t want to do that. I want the airbag to function. Any help would be appreciated!!!
Does your cruise control work? Does your horn work? If neither of these work probably a broken clockspring. I don't remember the code for a broken clockspring.

Horn works, cruise control is screwy. I had a dead cylinder issue got that fixed. I did not even know it. I’ve only driven the truck twice since I got the issue fixed I tried cruise control and it worked. So I’m not sure.
51 Air Bag Diagnostic Monitor Internal Thermal Fuse — Fuse Blown Due to Intermittent Short to Ground
The only approved fix is to find the short and replace the airbag module(computer), if you don’t find the fault it will ruin another module.
Ok, so then I’ve got a lot of wire tracing to do. With this particular fault is the airbag disabled? If it is I’m gonna unplug it until I find it. Might take a few days.
You can actually replace the thermal fuse in the module if you are adept at circuit board level soldering. Google is your friend. However, as previously stated you must locate and repair the original circuit fault before replacing the fuse or module. I just did my own because I could not find a reasonably priced module anywhere.
