So recently I had an airbag code 12 flashing. I decided to take a chance and purchase a new used airbag module off of ebay. I disconnected the battery for about an hour, and installed the new airbag module.
I no longer have a code 12, however after the engine runs for a few minutes I now have a code 52.
Ive read on here that it might have to do the battery being disconnected.
Any suggestions?
Once the PCM has been disconnected from the battery for 15 minutes or more once its reconnected and the engine started the PCM has to relearn a few things---that happens while you're actually driving it. I don't have a manual for your year or chassis---do you know what the code 5-2 signifies?

stands for a low battery voltage or backup power supply voltage boost fault.

That might suggest a capacitor or other electronic component inside the air bag module is having issues. I'm not overly familiar with most modules in general but things like PSOM's and RKE's very often have problems that eventually turn out to be related to a PCB part.

Im thinking the same. Going to swap it out and see what happens.
