swapping to tow mirrors?

swapping to tow mirrors?
How tough is it for an owner to swap the "regular" mirrors to the "tow mirrors" if you have the same year and trim level? Say on a lariat where you have power fold, and you buy the correct power folding lariat tow mirrors. Is that a big hassle? The parts are going to be expensive, if you can't find some at a wrecker somehow, but is it something a moderately mechanical person could do themselves?

Well its not very hard, its all plug and play. The lower trim trucks are easier. Remember Feb 2018 was a big change so make sure if you are doing this on a truck built after February you get compatible mirrors. The AAT sensor is now in the passenger mirror. If you have a higher trim truck but want all the features you will need new door harnesses and forscan programming.
