I read somewhere there is an injector shim kit to help eliminate cold weather hard starting. Could someone provide a link? I have already replaced the solenoid, but still have the problem.
Glow plugs stays on up to 120 seconds, depending on temps.
Nevermind the glow plug light, watch volt meter or do a GP led mod.
Glow plugs condition?
Ohmed out?

HAve you checked your o rings, replacing mine cured my cold start issue, LOL well i will find out come winter, but it cured my long crank issues
i still have my shim kit sitting on the shelf, may still do it just to quite down the injectors

I go to the mountains camping during the summer and that is where I have problems with cold starts. I learned to plug the heater into my generator and then starts are easy. In the winter, living in the desert, temps rarely get low enough to cause problems, but sometimes on the coldest days, I just plug the truck into the house circuit.
