Haven't had a problem at all with mine, except a paint problem that is currently being taken care of. Good to hear that they are already taking care of you though.

I have a friend who told me today on her new 150 that when temp below 35 here in west Texas, it takes her 10 min or so to start up. It starts then dies and over again until it runs. in the shop now 3 times.

I've had no problems starting in cold weather including temps in the negatives. Turns over the first time.

It was -25 here this morning and my 2004 XLT SCREW witn 11,500 miles would not start. Monday morning it was -24 and it just barely caught. Kicked a couple of times this morning but no go. Took my wife's Blazer to work (started right up) and called her later to try and start it. She said it started fine. Got home and tried it and again started fine, but noticed the check engine icon is on steady. Probably sensed something was wrong from this morning's attempt. I can see a block heater in my future.

According to my dealer, there are some issues with some of the starters Ford put in. They are a new type of starter and may have some water in them. At extreme cold temps they freeze and can't turn over fast enough. Don't put it off, go to your dealer and have him check it out when the weather is real cold. They have a service bulletin on it. I have had mine replaced with an upgraded type.

Last week it was -35C here and the truck starts great. The only thing is the fan belt squeal, which will be replaced at my next service. There is a TSB for the fan belt noise..
