I'm working on a 1988 F150 XLT Lariat single cab short bed. I'm going to be installing a keyless entry/alarm/remote start system from Avitol. The system has plenty of auxiliary functions so I decided I wanted to have the functions roll the windows up and down.
My goals are I want the system to roll BOTH windows down with the AUX 1 function (holding trunk release), and roll BOTH up with the AUX 2 function. However, I need all the buttons in the cab to function normally as well. I don't care about the AUX functions working perfectly if the vehicle is running either.
I tried thinking of simple way to do this, but I could only come up with a way that uses 6 relays for the windows and two for the door locks. The system activates the doors/auxiliary functions by switching a ground. I drew a picture of my planned wiring system that I'm going to work with.
The top two diagrams are of the stock system, and the bottom two are what I made.
I figured I'd post here in case anyone has any thoughts or improvements they can recommend to me! I don't imagine I'll get much feedback on this, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
Get two 4PDT relays, one for up and one for down. Wire the contacts (2-poles per window) to deliver power in one direction and the second relay reverses the polarity.
I was stuck on trying to use single pole relays that are common with vehicles systems I didn't look too hard into finding extra pole relays.. I've never used on in person and wasn't exactly sure what they were called so when I did a search, I found stuff that didn't seem too suitable for mounting to a vehicle (in case it's in the engine bay etc.)
4PDT relays seem like they could have made this a lot more simple, but I'll have to make another diagram.
As I was typing this, I was looking into those relays, and I can't seem to find any that are rated much greater than 10 amps (I'm assuming that's per pole). I know power windows probably only draw 5-10 amps, but certain scenarios could make them draw more and the fuse they are connected to normally is a 30amp fuse (or circuit breaker.) If I go with a 4PDT relay, I'd like it to have a 30amp rating similar to the standard SPDT relays that I was planning on using, but I don't know if that's something readily available.

The reason I suggested the 4PDT relay is the system output will only have to power one relay coil to move both windows instead of two. I don't know if your outputs will handle powering two relay coils at once.
