my name is Uwe, I live in Germany and since a few days I’m the proud owner of this 1955 F100.
Already for many years I'm interested in Classic American Cars and, lucky me, my wife shares the enthusiasm. So one fine day we found ourselves a nice 67 Mustang Convertible and at exactly that point the infection started to grow.
A Pickup was one of my dreams but finding one that is stock or close to stock gets more and more difficult as a high percentage of owners make Hot Rods out of them. For my wife and me it is simple: "If Ford would have wanted it to be a Hot Rod they would have made it a Hot Rod not a truck". But hey, everybody should do just as he likes.
So luckily I found this one and now the "work" starts - actually there is not much to do. Just a few bits and bops.
Well just wanted to say "Hello" and thank a lot of you guys already for your posts which helped me finding some details and having info before buying one of those trucks.
Hi and thanks for the warm welcome.
I finally managed to make a few pics of the truck.
Next things to happen on the vehicle are overhauling the steering box (parts are on backlog) and adding a limited slip.
So far I found already a lot of help on this site and got great responses to a different thread I started - Thanks!
das Getriebe ist sehr wahrscheinlich nicht das Originale und wurde möglicherweise auch umgebaut, habe hierzu einen anderen thread laufen.
Gummilager, etc sind alle OK.
