Im a new member. I've got a 1949 F68 that is dark blue with black fenders. Firewall shows Paint code 32. Anyone know if this is Barcelona blue? Or maybe something else? Thanks
I finally found my old Canadian parts catalog. It covers 48-51, shows a Barcelona Blue in the listing, but doesn't have a code number attached. The code number space is blank. It does show Sheridan Blue as code 41. From your picture, the color appears to be similar to Sheridan Blue. I'm not familiar with Barcelona Blue. The book says it was used in 48 only. Sheridan Blue was used in all years covered by the catalog. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Thanks, I can't seem to find any documentation matching paint colors to the 2 digit firewall numbers. I'm assuming the firewall paint codes would also describe 1 tone or 2 tone. Does anyone know if the 2 tone (black fenders) option was available in all Bonus Built years 48-52?
Black fenders was extremely common on all Canadian production trucks. It may have even been standard equipment with body color optional. My 52 M1 came with the body and interior unpainted in primer only, but it appears the fenders and grille was still painted black from the factory.
