Hey guys, i just installed injectors, turbo and a hydra with 1023 tunes. The truck starts and drives OK, but i do have some issues. First my hydra display isn't coming on, it's not lighting up. I've pressed the connections down tight on both sides but nothing. The hydra is making some sort of connection considering that I have single shots now and the truck is running. The second issue is related to the first I guess in that I have no idea what tune I'm in, I'm assuming it's my #1 tune which is the daily. I'll be opening the pcm back up tomorrow just to make sure everything is good, but thought I'd start here first. What do you guys think? Something I forgot to mention is that when I opened up the PCM the contacts had already been scrubbed (I'm the third owner) and i could see copper on the contract which I read can be bad, can these be re-coated or something? Thanks.
Just a thought. Did you hook up the controller connection correctly? If I remember right you could install it upside down, although it would be hard to do because the latch would be wrong.
You can get the PCM re-tinned but I’m not sure that’s your issue. My connectors had some copper showing too....
When you have it back out make sure to look for silicone between the pins as well. Scratch around with your fingernail to see if any coating is left.
And a tip for when you get it figured out. I always put some tape across the PCM to hold the chip in place and keep it from wiggling.
The copper probably looks similar to mine.
But it looks like you still have some silicone at the PCM ends of the connectors and maybe between the terminals.
I’m hoping one of the experts will jump in here soon to give you some better advice.
OK, so I cleaned the contacts per instructions in the video (thank you) and no dice! They were pretty clean but I was able to get a little material off from in-between the contacts. I'm going to send some pics to PHP and see what they have to say. I'll let you know.
Well, I emailed some pics to PHP and they said that I had damaged a diode during the install, which stinks cause I was really careful with it while installing it, but it looks like I smashed it with the USB cable when I put it in. I'm glad they are warrantying it, but I wish they would give you a heads up about it prior to install. Hopefully when I get it back I don't have any more issues, I'm pumped to start driving the truck. Thanks for the help Jason!

Man that stinks but it’s also nice to have the answer and that PHP was able to figure it out over email. PHP has always treated me very well and I have a lot of respect for Bill and the folks over there.
What did they say about your PCM terminals?
So I’m assuming the damaged diode is on the Hydra itself? I have to admit, I would have asked them if I could just solder it back on myself and punt to them if it didn’t work. Lol
Glad to help although I don’t feel like I did much!
