Thanks. I have a 5 gallon pail for the syn blend in 10w30, Triax that is. I'll use it when I run out of the bag in the box Motorcraft 10w30. Bought off Amazon as well. EBay has it also with free ship.

I grew up on 60s and 70s muscle cars and up until they started mandating emissions equipment in the late 70s (thank you California!!!) we used to legally pull Catalytic Converters off of pick ups back in Arkansas and Oklahoma due to setting hay fields on fire. We used to cut a piece of drill casing, pack some fiberglass in it and weld plates and pipe nipples on it to call it a muffler to get through inspection then blow it out within 100 miles so we could upset people. AHH, Those were the days. Used to rebuild engines in the front yard with my dad back then.

Like it or not something had to be done as air quality was headed straight down the dumper. some people say it's not any better but it really is and we have more vehicles on the road today than ever before. If you think it's bad now shoulda seen it when I was a kid in California.

I've had to learn a lot about emissions due to my job now and it has gotten easier than back when this all started. Doesn't help when people from the Communist State of California pass unrealistic mandates on the number of electric trucks both pick-ups and commercial rigs that must be purchased;" California air quality regulators approved the nation’s first electric truck standards Thursday, requiring over half the trucks sold by manufacturers in the state be zero-emission vehicles by 2035 — a rule that will impact air quality and greenhouse gas emissions beyond the Golden State’s borders.

The Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) regulation was first introduced by the California Air Resources Board at its meeting this past December. The rule will require truck and heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers to gradually increase the number of zero-emission trucks they sell to individuals and commercial fleets starting in 2024.

The regulation will also require large employers and truck fleet owners to complete a one-time reporting in 2021 about their operations to inform future state guidelines on zero-emission truck requirements.

While zero-emissions trucks have higher upfront costs, CARB noted the trucks have lower operating costs and could be in use years longer than diesel trucks. The electricity costs associated with charging the trucks could also be offset by low carbon fuel standard credits, according to CARB.

Under the rule, by 2035, zero-emissions sales in California would need to account for 55% of Class 2b-3 pickup truck sales; 75% of class 4-8 truck sales including RVs, work trucks, buses and big rigs; and 40% of tractor sales.

Transportation accounts for 50% of California’s greenhouse gas emissions and more than 95% of toxic diesel particulate matter emissions, according to CARB."

Except California's electrical grid can barely keep the lights on as it is. They want all the power to come from wind and solar, expensive and unreliable sources.

Ah!!! But you can't build it in my back yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember back when I started after my time in service they were gonna put a wind farm in the Cajon Pass but because of the environmental laws in the state they stopped it because someone filed a claim that "It affects me because it prevents proper propagation of the flora and fauna in the area and it kills birds who fly into the turbine blades!" This from the same clowns who drive 30 year old polluting hogs and want no power plants built yet they have all the lights and air conditioners on at their house, and stop all new work on infrastructure such as transmission lines or power plants. There are 4 heavy duty turbines out in Coachela that they are only allowed to run 250 hours a year period. The last coal burner in California which was in the Mojave was shut down 15 years ago due to California was insistent that they wanted clean energy no matter what yet they will not have the infrastructure upgraded. Most of the high tension wires are already running at or above their original max ratings. Booneville power is sending more than half of the power they produce on the Collumbia River to California. The garbage we went through for a repower at a plant in Southern California was so ridiculous it'd make you gag.

We go through so much when we do outages in California now days it's crazy. We can not let a piece of equipment idle for more than 2 minutes or CARB (California Air Resources Board) will come and ticket and heavy fine you. They have to go through the refineries on a continuous basis checking for minor drips and leaks and if you drip more than 2 drops a minute on a valve they fine you. Freaking crazy.

Then add to the crap being pulled by LA Metropolitan Water, taking 40% of the water from the Klamath River in Oregon for their use plus the water from the Colorado then add to it what the farmers in California's central valley do to the Sacramento River, why would you grow rice in a semiarid desert??

I'm not a tree hugger, we do need to take care of the earth though as we only have the one planet for now, but come on lets get real, they are a bunch of hypocrites when it comes to these things.

Watch a doc called "Water and Power, the California Heist". It'll tell you all you need to know. That state is currently in the 80th year of a criminally run organization that put its own people in power since the 30s. Newsome is Pelosi's nephew. They are all related. It's the most disgusting and depressing thing you will ever learn about CA, which is my home state BTW. If revolution starts anywhere, my guess is that it will be there. the people are pizzed and sick of it.

I thought we had it bad, while we don't have it good, but Cali is worse than my state. I feel for guys in that state. I get keeping the air clean but all this bull $h1t based on CO2 production is out right lies and now the rest of the Country, or at least the states like mine who follow Carbs draconian laws will follow blindly. At least it's downstate and not near me.

The Climate change/Global warming crowd follow their beliefs as if a religion and no other religion exists. Al Gore is a great example of that hypocrisy.

Newsom is Pelosi's nephew huh? Imagine that??? The state runs deep...

When it comes to power production, we are lucky we live near one of the Wonders of the country; Niagara Falls. We have a great source of fresh water and power. We are blessed here.

Hang tough guys.

That's a great point. I totally overlooked that.

Also the government requirements that it has to be difficult to disable so People can't just bypass when they want to. If it's easy to delete and restore people will, we used to back in the early days. That's part of the reason for reduced power when the DEF and DPF system is inoperable or having issues.

I was born in San Bernadino, grew up in Arkansas. Spent most of my time in service in Southern California and 3 years after I got out. Unfortunately I still have to go there and work sometimes.

I would say I'll never live there again but the minute you do guess what happens.

This. Red dye and taxes are the only difference.

The "science" behind global warming models is just as sound as the "science" behind the Chinese coronavirus models that predicted millions would die. Climate change is a scam to gain money and power, and so is covid19. It's all lies. Every bit of it.

I'm with you there jolly. Scam, hoax, Ponzi scheme, whatever term you want to use. This right here says it all...

Yes to the Covid virus also.

EDIT

THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY DON'T ACKNOWLEDGE THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ARGUMENT FROM SCIENTISTS WHO DON'T AGREE WITH THE RELIGION OF GLOBAL WARMING AS THE FACTS POINT IN THE DIFFERENT DIRECTION.

For the truly moronic, it's a religion/cult. For the rest, deep down they know it's BS but it's a way for them to accrue money and power. People lusting for money and power never let something like the truth stand in the way.

I just don't understand the voters here. People vote for this crap then bitch about it later. Still they will vote the same guy in next time. I have had it with this place. We have been fixing up the house so I can sell it and get out of here. I was trying to find a place without snow but at this point if there is snow people think with their big head.My wife is on the fence and I am not sure what side she is leaning towards. She does keep asking what are we going to do if Biden wins. The ocean no matter how pretty makes people stupid. So if you want to be stupid live near the ocean LOL. They put homeless in nice hotels and they are destroying them. The Woke culture is adding more chaos to the state. And the Washington Redskins will always be the Washington Redskins
