Sounds in engine
Hi everyone:
Drove my 66 F100 / I-6, 300 on a trip of 230 miles, stayed for couple of days, on the way back when I started the engine I heard some irregular noises, as something is loose and hitting somewhere.
It is not a repeating sound, it is a different tone sound, Opened the valve cover, everything looks in place, nothing loose. Raised the engine to lower the oil pan to see if anything loose, all Connecting rods and crank caps are tight. Opened push valve cover, all rods are tight. Now what could be wrong, I will pull the engine out and tear it down if I couldn't think of anything else. I appreciate all your comments.
