I have a 1994 f250 7.3 idi turbo.
so my problem is that when it’s warm after I drive to go to the store and leave it parked (warm) for like 30 mins and come back and try to start it, it won’t start it cranks but no start so I have to get a rag with gas and start it that way. It started after I put a new injector pump on it from summit racing. The reason I put the injector pump because it was not running so well and I thought it was the injector pump but it wasn’t it was the lift pump so it has a new lift pump on it too. And it has new injectors too. So idk what it could be I was told probably air in the system but it’s cold starts kinda well it really really hard cold start even on 100 degree weather so that’s also a problem but I was also told the new injector pump gets heat soaked or the sick inside the tank is really dirty so idk I need help!!!!!
when it will not hot start, pour cool water NOT COLD water on the injector pump head and then try to start it. if it starts the "New" injector pump is no good.

This really does work, I carried a bottle of water around for over a year until I finally replaced my pump,
also, hopefully you haven't wore your starter out by over cranking and getting it to hot, only crank it for 5 seconds, then let it rest,
So the injector pump is getting heat soaked I ran it then let it sit and it wouldn’t start to si put water and it started up. I just got it a couple months ago. I don’t wanna buy another one because there not cheap so there they a place yall know i can send it to and get rebuild?
i would call summit and tell them it is defective. send them a video of it not starting, then starting rite up after cooling the pump head off. for the price you paid, they should make it rite.
what happens with these is they take the pump apart and only replace what they think is bad.
the problem is tolerances on these pumps is very tight,, and the head wears out. then it will not hot start.
