Is this common? I'd LOVE to have a Green Gem F-350, but that color has been fleet only since'17.

Same here. Mine came with the non power standard xlt seat and felt great around town and short trips. Until I took a longer trip over an hour I knew right away it wasn’t going to work for me. Get the power seat.

Had a wonderful time in the dark and pouring rain test driving a 2021 F250 6.2 XLT CCSB Learned quite a lot.

1. Got to play with the power seat. When I first got in the truck I couldn't see over the dash. I'm 6'0" and that was a new experience for me. So I fumbled around in the dark and found the seat controls. The seat then folded me up like a lawn chair and tried to swallow my butt. A bit more fumbling and it spit me out such that I would up being at the right height and very comfortable. I liked the range of motion, the contour of the seat and didn't mind the headrest touching the back of my head. I think that's what the safety people had in mind anyway. So the decision was made to spend the $1480 for the Value Package that gets you the power seat. Power adjustable pedals no longer included but I don't need that anyway.

2. Found out the headlights are, IMHO, not as good as I would like, as so many others have stated.

3 I like those really long running boards that let you reach over the side of the bed near the cab. Only about $50 more than the cab length fancy running boards.

3. And computed the A plan price for my finalized dream truck. All I need now is for this stupid pandemic to let up.

XLT trim and Value Package deal is much worse in 2021

The whole XLT trim and Value Package deal is much worse in 2021 than in 2020.
In 2020 the XLT power seat was a free checkbox. It didnt come standard, but it could be checked on the customer build on ford.com and in dealer orders.
(See attached sticker)
I spent alot of time verifying this with several dealers that did test builds as 2020 and 2021 and they proved that the free power seat went away and is only available with the Value Package in 2021.
Whats worse is that Ford removed the power adjustable pedals for 2021 from the Value package and moved an XLT standard feature, the reat under seat storage, into the Value Package.
To sum up the 2021 changes:
The XLT lost the under seat storage as standard.
The XLT Value package lost the power adjustable pedals.
The XLT lost the free power seat.
In my opinion the XLT should include the power seat for free, its a rip off not to have it.

I'm happy I got the XLT premium package on mine with the power seat. When my wife caravanned with me a while ago she said I look tiny in my big truck. So I raised the seat!

The adjustments on the power seat seem a little strange, hard to get it just right for me compared to other power seats I've had. But I managed.

If I were to order a new truck I would take the XLT over a STX for a few reasons: door keypad, center console option, and the power seat being the most important. Being a taller than average human I need the seat base to be adjustable to get my legs at a comfortable angle. And from others on here it sounds like it is a much more comfortable seat.

Well you'll like this set up. Like i said I'm 6" 0" and when I first go into our demo truck on the lot I couldn't see over the dash as the seat was all the way down. Once tinkered with it was reasonably comfortable for the test drive. Given some time I'm sure I could have made it perfect.

Much improved over my 07 F150. Even with power seats it reminds me of a park bench.

I too think the adjuster is eschewed a bit. It isn't up down front back. It's more like up and front at the same time and down and back weirdness.
I have yet to find the best adjustment. I like the front of the seat to tilt up a bit so my butt is a bit lower. But I can't seem to get it to do that.
