03 6.0 ICP Sensor causing oil leak?

03 6.0 ICP Sensor causing oil leak?

Only had the truck for about a month now. The first couple weeks it wasn’t leaking anything. Now I have 2-3 drips of oil in my driveway.

I removed the ICP sensor and replaced it with the new “updated” sensor.

It seems the plastic was starting to separate from the aluminum part of the sensor. And inside where the plug was is soaked with oil. Is this normal? I know the oil inside the plug can be. But the separation part

Yes, common. Most will say to replace the wire pig tail but I cleaned mine with Deoxit and it has been fine for several years.
