I am hoping someone will know or be able to help me locate a wiring diagram that will tell me what plugs go to where from the passenger compartment fuse box. I am trying to track down a current draw and believe to have isolated it to the blue tape wrapped harness, and the larger of the two plugs coming from it. I know that the smaller one goes to the pump relay, I have dealt with that a couple times, I repaired the factory relay the first time it failed, and replaced the box the second time it failed a couple years later. I hope someone will have some knowledge for me, or I'm going to have to track it down the hard way, and that doesn't look fun.
Well, that's an odd coincidence, I spent all day yesterday and half of today chasing this. And my wife walks in and says hey, maybe its got something to do with the rear wiper, its been stuck for a few days. And then your reply, well I unplugged the motor, and it seems to have dropped the draw. I replaced that motor a year or so ago, but the motor wasn't bad at the time, it was the shift that was corroded stuck, It doesn't seem to be very stiff now so maybe motor just weak. I notice that even when the truck is off it did still keep trying to return it to home so maybe this is the problem, we will see if its dead again in the morning.
Yeah, that's the most common uncommanded power draw on the Expy's. The shaft gets seized up and the motor just isn't strong enough to get it to the park position, but it keeps trying and run the battery down. Did you try some Liquid Wrench on the shaft to free it up ? Or if it's too far gone just replace the motor and mount and be done with it. Lube the new shaft before you button it up.
How old is the battery by the way? You have a multimeter right ? The quickest way is just to do the amp draw test and run through suspect circuits in the fuse box.

The better approach is to remove the negative battery cable an connect an amp meter from it to the negative post. Then watch the meter for a current drop as you pull fuses one at a time. This will determine which circuit is creating the heavy draw. Keep in mind the interior lights are on when the door is open.
