Question for you young guns.......

What in name in Jesus is this, I don't get it. Been lifting trucks since 1976 and now this trend hit, are you trying to look like a pulling truck at the County fair? Entertain me...

That thing sure would handle awesome, and probably do some bad-*** drifting as well

that isnt enough tire sidewall for pulling based on the pullers near me. that reminds me of the truck version of stance. that also looks like its going for the squatted look.

Heavy duty trucks have become the new tuner cars.

Every ***** has one and put those wheels on it to look cool.

I think the trend probably started at Sema a few years back

I'm 42, so I'm not sure if I'm the target demographic for this question. I am not a fan of that trend at all.

It's almost as bad as "stanced" cars...

As often as I see pictures and videos of brodozers online I don't really see them much where I live. I think we can blame Hollywood and "Fast and the Furious" movies for every clapped out, molested Honda on the road. I suppose we can blame SEMA for popularizing awful wheel/tire combos on pickups.

Pickup truck mods in Iowa/Illinois are generally cheap lift kits, bald 35s, limo tint, and a light bar without a on/off switch. Rarely do I see mods that improve performance or usability.

To me, it appears to be saying look at me look.. look how cool look.

it also looks impractical, but I'm kinda older and all."

I restored this truck, frame up, to almost what it looked like when new. In 1979 as it rolled off the carrier we had everything in place, never rolled down the road in stock form. Not much was available in the 70's for a truck, the aluminum rims came from Art Hill Incorporated and were the only set sold in Ohio. At the 4 Wheel Jamboree it won it's class for peoples choice and did a magazine shoot. It was a fun ride from Sand Dunes to Mud holes and long excursions to many States. I did some research and tracked it down, purchased it and brought it back to life.

Maybe I'm just a dinosaur at heart, but is it a truck, if you can do you're makeup looking in the rims?
those extendable mirrors are so he can make sure he ain't gettin' any dirt on the tire.

I got 10 bucks says he drinks white claw and listens to upchurch.🤣

he should team up with one of them fellers hunting for ants in front of the truck. maybe with the two trucks they may just be able to make one to sell so they can buy 1994 honder civic with a Vtec engine.

It's so when they tow an upside-down trailer on the upside-down ball, the tongue weight will push the back of the truck up to level.
