Code P144C - Evap Purge Valve
Hi - I didnt see a lot of info on this code so just to help other ecoboost F150 owners of this generation...
At 127K miles, my '11 3.5 ecoboost got the CEL with code P144C - Evaporative Emission System Purge Check Valve Performance
I ordered this part: STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS CP932. I think the OEM part number is BL3Z9B325C
It sits on top of the engine just under the plastic cover. The swap required 1 8mm bolt removal and 3 hose clips.
It took me more time to park the truck in a way to best avoid the nosy neighbors from reporting me to the HOA than it did to swap it out
I'd say start to finish, it took 5 minutes.
I cleared the code and so far, so good.
Dont know how long the old valve was acting up before it threw a code, but it idles much more smoothly now.
