I have a 99 F-250 SuperDuty and have installed a jelibuilt hydra 15 position chip. 6637 intake and replaced all the turbo boots. It has a 4in back exhaust with a 2in lift on 34s. Also it has a boost and trans gauge. What next? I want to save my penny’s before I change my turbo and injectors but anything in the mean time...
What F350 towing said. I just completed the hutch mod and recently before that the RiffRaff Diesel FRx. Happy with how they turned out. Years ago I put in a Detroit TruTrac in the rear diff. I love that thing!
Also as someone else mentioned, EGT and fuel pressure gauges. EGT is required to protect your engine once tuned. The fuel pressure is something that you won’t really “need” until there’s a problem. The way I looked at it, this gauge could prevent a TON of unnecessary troubleshooting in the future.
I also saw someone mention uppipes. Check for leaks and address as needed (another cheap/free item). Ultimately you’ll want to go to bellowed uppipes but that job is likely best combined with turbo mods since install may require turbo removal.
When you’re ready to go turbo I would recommend a 360* rebuild kit, RiffRaff billet wheel, deleting the EBPV (can be DIY), and bellowed uppipes. I may get yelled at here but I feel the uppipes is a place you can go with the cheapies if trying to save some money.
Oh and welcome to FTE and the rabbit hole of truck mods.
