Just got this Odyssey Battery 65-PC1750T (on right) to replace my 6 yr old Duralast (on left), yesterday.
To replace the battery terminal posts, do I simply unscrew them with a pair of pliers? I'd like to replace them for some that I can more easily attach wires to for auxiliary lights.
Thanks.

Is there a trick to this? I have been working with Vise Grips and hammer and they are not budging. Have them coated with PB Blaster penetrating oil. I was thinking of flattening out the posts by filing them down on opposite sides so the pliers have something anchor on to.
Thanks again.
Thanks for the apology. Thanks for the lead on shims. And thanks for just trying to help out a fellow Ex owner.
i do have batteries that the posts are removable and know that you can buy the replacement posts at any auto store; I’ve never tried it on my other batteries though and just assumed they were all the same.
