DPF % After a regen

I use a CTS2 monitor in my 2019. I always keep driving whenever a regen Starts. 99 percent of the time regen will end when my percentage drops to 27-30%. Only once did it get lower and went to 9%. Is it really only getting Down to 30. % ????? Is it supposed to get to 0??? Thanks !

I also use a CTS2 and what you are describing is normal in my opinion . I recently did a static regen and the monitor showed 24% when it stopped , I let it run a while longer to cool it down some and the monitor went to 9% , but the exhaust filter status on the center screen showed 0% . I have had mine long enough to know what I interpret to be normal behavior for my truck so I don't sweat over it any more . Let the truck do it's thing !!

I would love to get the percent screen enabled on my truck to compare. Just for fun. Maybe next time I visit the dealer I can ask for it.

Forscan is free for 30 days and you can enable it yourself along with a bunch of other things. It's the best thing out there in my opinion. After the trial it's still really cheap to buy the extended license.

If I drive long enough mine regens to 0% according to the dash gauge (activated with FORscan). If it gets to 20 or 30% before I stop I'm happy and will disable auto regen again until the dpf% is registering full again. I don't drive just to regen.

I use the banks Idash for monitoring and what I have found is the idash readout and the truck are not the same as they go up or down in percentages.

Couple of things they do agree on though:

When the regen starts and when it stops for one.

The other is when the idash is at 95% the truck is at 100%, so close as the truck goes in 5% increments on the dash.

MIne will show zero % on the truck does and the Banks idash is usually at 20%.

after a regen the idash will drop to as much as 5% but never zero since you are always producing soot.
