Just wondering what the cut off date was for a 99 to be a 99.5. Knew at one point but can't seem to remember at this time. Thanks for your help in advance
There isn't a firm "cutoff date" regarding the morph from 99 to 99.5. I think by 2/99 they were all 99.5's, but some trucks started getting some 99.5 pieces much earlier.
alright thanks guys. My truck was made in december of 98 but can't remember the day of the top of my head. Was looking at stuff for psd's and got curious. Thanks again
Pretty sure mine was manufactured in 2/98 so that would make it an early 99? Glad MESTRKR made this post cuz I was 'bout to do the same. Also too I've seen on some other post sites talk about a "wicked wheel"? Where abouts can I find info on'em? Thanks folks!!!
Not true of all trucks. My son in law's truck was built in late 12/98, and his is pure 99, with none of the 99.5 changes. Another friend has a truck built in 2/99, that was mostly 99.5 but still has a few of the 99 pieces.
My build date says 11/98 but has 99.5 intake/airbox so go fiqure. It's frustrating when trying to order performance stuff that needs to specify built date, because I don't know what I should put down. When I tried to order my cold air intake they asked for build date, then proceeded to tell me there wasn't anything available but a replacement filter. I ended up ordering a intake for a newer model and it fit just fine. Your guess is as good as mine on build date "cutoff".
