Hello, I have a 1966 100 Standard cab with the round cluster. I am beginning work on the interior and want to get it to a single stage gloss black within a few months. I have been looking at pictures of other truck on the google, and saw that some have the panel the same color as the dash, some looks like a stainless or chrome, and others are painted silver or white. What colors would these be available in originally?
I was thinking of silver in mine to accent the chrome strip that runs across the dash, with eventually having the outside a two tone green on bottom and white on top. I know this was not available for a standard cab, but its my truck

You pretty much answered your own question. Go with what you like. Originality does not matter any more. Just do it tastefully and you'll be alright.
lol (gave me a small laugh) yes I understand that, I want to go the direction of making it look like a custom even though it is not, therefore I do not want to color it something that would have not been available.

I went with white because... That is the only can of rustoleum primer/paint I had handy when I got it cleaned up and didn't want to give it time to rust. But I like it. Found my light! Plus it matches my door panels.
An old airplane mechanic I new. He worked for airlines as long as I knew him. One day we were talking and I told him I wanted something different. Afew days later he called me and said he had had this stashed for years and I could have it. Then a machinist friend made the bullets for it. Keeping with the theme from the bullets on the mirrors. The rest is history.
