Dash gauge insert color
I have the round gauge with two outboard gauges. I have removed it and am cleaning it up and would like to repaint it. It looks to be a silver color but it pretty faded and could have been a chrome of some kind. Does anyone know where I can get a spray can of the proper color for this insert or what color is should be? Chrome or silver?

I have seen then in their natural state and in white. I think it may have varied by interior package. Mine is white.

For the '61 to '66 trucks using a round central cluster -- I think the round central cluster is mostly a 4x4 thing after '64 -- the instrument bezel with the Custom Cab package was chromed and then most of the central area was over-painted in satin silver paint, leaving, in effect, chrome "rims" or trim on a silver-painted bezel. I believe the standard trim package only included a white-painted bezel.
