Dump Bed
Looking to buy a '63 F 100. Nice looking, except for maybe the bed. Regardless, the truck has dump bed. Seller states that the bed is a factory option. Is this a possibility for a light truck? Haven't had a chance to exam the truck personally due to distance, but I was curious if anyone knows that the dump bed was an option for that era of Ford F-100.

Ford didn't install any dump beds at the factory but it would have been possible to order a cab & chassis and then have any bed installed by an outside company. If the truck were special ordered it might have been arranged by Ford.

Kinda like the Air Cooled diesel option on the crew cab that had all paperwork with it.
