I got some pop out windows to replace the stationary windows on my sliding door and rear cargo doors in my 1975 E150, where can I find new rubber for them?
I can get pictures of the rubbers that came with those windows if that will help.
That's what I needed originally.
However the chances of finding OEM replacement parts will be slim as that option wasn't widely used so any remaining inventory after manufacturing ceased would have been sold quickly. If you'll be searching for new seals you'll need to know the dimensions and profile of the stock seals. Size and durometer ("softness") greatly affect whether the movable glass does or does not seal to the body properly.
You might try looking at products made by Trim-Lok; here's a link to their rubber seal profiles: Trim Lok
I have been looking for some seals but have only found one and not sure what it fits yet. If I find out more I will post the part numbers. D9UZ-11262A80-B appears to be the part number for the side bar door type windows so would not be the sliding door window or rear door windows.
I have fixed windows in my 88 E150 and measured the outside dimensions of the window seal for the side and rear windows and they are different. The height was the same but the width was different. The side window seals were 20-3/8" height and width. The rear cargo door windows were 20-3/8 high and 22-3/4 wide.
The reason I mention this is that if it is impossible to find any seals that will work, It might be possible to buy 3 seals for the side cargo doors and make them work on the rear windows. I am not sure if just a roll of weatherstrip would work because I believe the rounded corners are molded.
The seam that would be on the top would be under the hinge. JWA could recommend some good sealant to use. That is providing the seals work. the D9UZ indicates that the seal design is 1979. D= decade while the 9= year of the decade. That doesn't necessarily mean that it will not fit, it just means there was some revision in the part in that year.
So far it appears that 1975-1991 might work. I remember looking up front door molding parts a year or so ago and there was a difference in the glass thickness on the roll down windows. I would think that the thickens of the pop out windows would not mater when it comes to those seals.
I also just ran across this site which has a lot of door diagrams with part numbers
these are listed for the rear doors... BUT I don't think they are,, not sure.. I am trying to figure out the numbering system... WEATHERSTRIP, MOVEABLE WINDOW
This is for a pop out rear door window. The part number shows it to be 1979. IT may fit your 75 I am not sure. I don't have a book to see if it is just a revised part number.
If that is the correct part number for your 75, then they show to have here https://www.rearcounter.com/D5UZ-114...rts394248.html
