I hate to send you to another forum (sorry mods) but I know I've seen it there. Take a look here through the first couple pages. There are some comparison pics there. I will say, the place where the safety chains attach is much beefier on the Max tow hitch.
Thanks I had already found that - but it didn't really impress me that the Max Tow was all that much stronger. Was hoping there were newer modifications that tied it even better into the rear frame...

Doing a web search for "f150 hitch failure" or "f150 receiver failure" yields next to nothing. People love to complain so if there were issues, there would likely be posts somewhere about it.
Provided you're operating within the limits of the hitch and using a WD unit over 5k (as specified) I don't think you'll have any issues.

And I did that too and Nada - and you KNOW there are folks overloading the heck out of their hitches!!!
Great News!!! Placed order Monday and was told maybe we'd see it in Sept. Got an email today with VIN and Build date of August 11... happy dance
