I am trying to locate the name of this part so I can replace it but can't seem to find the name of it. I've tried searching by the stamped number on it and came up with nothing. I've been looking at diagrams until I'm cross eyed and nothing seems to show this particular part. Hoping someone here knows what it's called or what diagram to look at!
It's for a 1994 F-350 4x4
It's the bracket connecting the suspension to the rear axle. A mechanic friend has said they look weak and need to be replaced. I'm attaching a picture with three different angles. If more are needed, I can get more. Thanks in advance!
that is a u bolt bracket.
you can not find anything about the number because that is an engineering number, not a part number.
Ok. I've tried searching that (among other different combinations) just assuming that's what it would be called but came up with nothing. I tried rockauto and they have a bunch of different suspension parts but can't seem to match it up https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...831,suspension
Thanks for confirming the name! Do you think it's because it's a dually that I'm having so much trouble?
I agree with My4fordtrucks. I can't see why the mechanic mentioned "they look weak". I couldn't see any cracks or fatigue of the bracket unless I dont know what I'm looking for.
Is the mechanic a trusted mechanic, friend of family, known him since grade school kind of person? That part is most likely "Unobtainium" and well, the price can be, well, unobtainium. You would have to source one from the junkyard.

Yeah, trusted friend who is a mechanic. He's helped a lot in the past getting this truck running after it sat for several years. We're swapping the bed so maybe he just thinks they are suspicious but not for sure bad and better off doing it while we have easier access. I'll see what he thinks knowing how difficult they are to get. Thanks for the input, much appreciated!
Hey, thanks. I'll check that out. I misunderstood the mechanic and just realized what he was saying. A previous owner removed the one on the other side and made their own that is weak. The left is good, the right is a custom piece of metal so it looks like someone lost that original part.
