New to me Excursion.

Just picked up second excursion. 2003 6.0 full bulletproof done with records. Headstuds, egr and oil cooler, turbo rebuilt, new FICM, heads magnafluxed and machined, bedplate resealed etc. she has 218k miles. stock pcm. She pulls strong and smooth. Excited to join the diesel crew. Needs some cosmetics, but overall is was a solid buy. I’m doing my first service with fuel filters, oil and air filter and Rotella t6 oil.

Thank you gents. Actually the Prius is my neighbors. I bleed ford blue. 2003 terminator, 2017 fusion hybrid, 1988 notchback, and a 2000 v10 Ex.

I do have a question. Injectors are still stock and original. Those were not replaced as they were not needed at time of bulletproofing. What is an average lifetime for injectors? it runs very strong so I believe there is no immediate need.

218k you may begin to have issues but I’ll let others chime in on injector longevity. I had to replace mine at 180k but it had a hard life before I bought her.

Thank you Smack. I got a killer deal on this Ex for the work done. If have to do injectors, I would still be way ahead. I have north of 10k in receipts just for bulletproofing, ficm and water pumps. Got to love Southern California shop prices.

Added a cheapie android tablet with torque pro. All my vitals are healthy except for a alternator on the weaker side. Eot is right on for specs of 5 degrees or less of variance between EOt and coolant temp. Eot rises when I really get on it but comes down quickly once I maintain steady speed.
