So my sister and I did some mote sorting and tossing at mom's today. Now it's mostly just getting the last of the stuff out of the house over the next few weeks. Sad but it will be good to be done at some point.
Well, I made it to Fargo and back with the pickup and it didn't break down!
Still have a funny vibration and I think that is the motor isn't completely dropped into the slots in the frame on the driver's side. Also the fan clutch seems to be locked in more than it should be. I've got the BPD 7.3 fan clutch adapter. I'm going to go back to an electronically controlled clutch and put in the snow plow fan clutch. Probably change the oil pretty soon once i get closer to 1,000 miles on the truck after putting it back together. All in all I am very happy with how this turned out! Sure is nice having my pickup back.
Good morning Chris! Hopefully thats all the vibration is. I think some of these motors just run at different temps then others for some reason. My old regular cab I had always ran cool. Never heard the fan come on. The one I have now runs warmer and the fan comes on more often. Never overheats but the fan does kick on more often then the others I have had. I have even pulled the radiator and intercooler and pressure washed and no change.
Evening Jay! Lawn got mowed here as well plus a bunch of other yard work. Was a nice night out there for working.
Lynn worked on the redo of her memory garden too. I helped a little with the muscle work. Also worked on putting some things away that came from mom's.
