Hi folks looking for some help with trailer light fault diagnosis. I tried my 4 pin boat trailer today and I had no action on anything. I checked my fuses and both 10a fuses for signals and breaks were blown. I replaced them still nothing I visually inspected cables and they looked good and dont really no what my next step should be. Is there another fuse relay I need to check? I have the book but couldn't find anything that was obvious fuse wise to pull and check. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I tried the plug on my edge and everything worked. All signals on the truck are also working. Got me stumped
Check the ground wire attachment inside the driver’s side frame rail by the spare tire. They can get caked up with mud and cause issues.
Thanks Johnny,
I installed a new reciever and it got the passenger side lights working. The driver side had dodgy connections I just undid the clips and greased them and boom everything is working.
my original reciever definitely had grounding issues that I found from your comment that's why I replaced it.
