I just had my 2002 f350 v10 regeared to 4.56. I have a hyper tech programmer just being used for tire size (not running a performance tune as I want to run 87 gas), but it doesn’t have a place to select gear ratio which is strange. My old truck I had a diablosport programmer that did give the option to select gear ratio. My question is will the truck be fine with just the correct tire size (315/75/16) entered but not th
e updated gear ratio being ran? It seems to be shifting fine, just wanted some other opinions. I understand a custom 5 star tune would be nice, but don’t want to drop the $500 or so on that after the regear cost right now (also have a bad Jeep habit that takes expendable income). Truck is used mainly for towing a camper.
