From my understanding it doesn’t affect anything, positive would be the battery is always being charged while the truck is running. I’ve been meaning to disable mine as I have fairly large amp and subwoofer and I would think it might help feed the monsters better
Are there any downside aspects to disabling the Battery Management System? My Ford Pinto didn't have one. So why does my 2014 FX4 Ecoboost need one?
Cheers

Q: Why defeat BMS?
A: So I can listen to audio for more than a handful of minutes while I'm working in the garage. (I'm assuming it's the BMS that cuts off the audio.)
If I drop the voltage too low and damage the battery, that should be my fault. But let me make that decision.
