freeze plug question

Working on a 2000 4.2l and i've gotten the transmission and clutch and flywheel off to find a coolant leak which as i suspected was coming from a freeze plug on the back of the block, found the hole and have a freeze plug ready to go and plan to do some other things down there while I have the tranny off since it's pretty high mileage but my question is aside from the ones on the front that I can't see, all the freeze plugs except for the one that fell out look like they're fine, how common is it to only have one plug pushed out? and how likely is it that the block has cracked?
Also, if anyone has any tips for figuring out how worn down the clutch is and whether or not it or the flywheel need to be replaced i'd appreciate it. I'm about to start googling it but i've never done anything requiring removing the transmission before lol so I'll take all the help I can get.

two things happen to freeze plugs... Weak antifreeze can freeze and PUSH one of the plugs out of its hole..... Second problem is that week antifreeze will let the water EAT on the plug and rust a hole thru it... If your PLUG acutaly move in the bore then you have the first problem.. Pull the plug out and examine the backside.. If it is heavily corroded and thin in the center, then you might want to pull a couple more plugs for inspection.. If it just moved in the bore, but condition is OK... then you are good to go.

I dont know the spec on the clutch plate........ Should be some reference on line for THICKNESS.

The freeze plug was completely out of the bore, it fell out when I got the flywheel off. The side that goes on the inside has a little bit of surface rust but it doesn't look too bad and all the other ones that i can see aren't rusty or leaky and they're all snug. it's had a bad radiator since it's been sitting here, the part the upper hose hooks too straight blew off lol so i'm thinking the last person to try to fix it didn't drain it and the coolant stayed at the bottom of the block so the plugs on the front on the heads might be ok but those are the only ones I can't see lol.

I'm sure the block is fine because the freeze plugs blow out long before the block cracks. As to the rest of the freeze plugs, I would only do the second one on the back of the engine. (Those two large ones are not freeze plugs.) I'd hate to see you put the tranny back in and have the second freeze plug leak a month later. Also, while you're there don't forget to replace the crankshaft rear main seal.

Might want to also check the coolant pressure cap to see that it is the correct rating.

And you can get test strips which you stick into the antifreeze to measure its acidity.
