I'm new to truck repairs and I just need some help. My clutch works fine, except if the clutch pedal gets pulled forward the clutch rod comes out of its hole in the back of the truck. This makes it hard to use the clutch, and hard to crank the truck. Please help, what part do I need to fix this mess and get my truck back?? Thanks!
Truck: 2001 Ford F-150 4x2 Standard Cab, 5-speed manual
Sensor works fine. Side view without the rod in the way. Direct view without the rod in the way.

Reason: Forgot truck year.
This is a great video showing the clutch master cylinder rod connection at around the 18 min. mark. It looks like in your last pic maybe one of the rod retaining clips is broken.

You have no idea how much time you just saved me!! Now I just have to figure out where those parts are.
I let my sister's boyfriend learn stick and he broke something with the clutch (hey you know, s*** happens). Took my truck to my mechanic and I guess when they "fixed it" they left off the pieces that would hold the rod in place. Wanted to have me come back to replace the "bad sensor" lol. Long story short, I'm at home and fixing my own stuff at the moment. Saving a chunk of change it seems like it.
Again, thank you SO much.
Anyone have any idea where I can find that whole set up? At ~19 min dude gets that black piece off and it shows the bare rod. That's what mine looks like + the pictures I provided of the hole it goes into.
I'll hunt for parts myself as well tomorrow now that I have some idea where to go with this. Will update if I find what I need to do the repair if no one else answers (so anyone who finds this thread in future can have the parts).
