I have a 2019 F350 Super duty.......
I want to install a TPMS ONLY (not the camera system) From what I have determined I need the HC3Z-1A189-C kit which is just the TPMS?????? Can anyone tell me if this correct?
Next I know in the kit it comes with a replacement plug for the bumper to add the 12 pin plug for the TPMS wire from the camper to plug into the truck.....BUT I do not want a cable hanging down my tailgate to plug in my the license plate.
I have a factory installed trailer brake plug in the bed of the truck........
I found a picture of a plug that is in the bed of the truck in the same box as the brake plug. Does anyone know what this plug would be called so I can research it? Or where I can purchase it? Im hoping to be able to install this type of plug without any major modifications and hopefully the new plug comes with enough wire the just plug in the plug at the rear of the truck.
I just installed one yesterday in my 2020. I had same problem and wanted it in the bed. Lots of discussion in this thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-problem.html about trailer camera and TPMS. I ordered the TPMS only with my truck. The part number I got was HC3J-1A515-BC it had a "Y" wiring harness, TPMS module, 4 TPMS sensors, 7 over 12 pin receptacle, and some hardware. Check out Nichols Manufacturing & Welding Services I ordered the "Straight Harness" which worked well for my 2020 but I think for 2019 this mounting kit might be what you want https://nicholsmanufacturingandweldi...5th-wheel-only They were great to deal with. One other thing to consider, I'm not sure if all of the trucks are trailer TPMS ready if not you may have to take it to the dealer to get the software enabled. If you call Nichols they can probably help you. Good luck.
