So I've changed my mind 18 times on getting another set of wheels and tires and have finally decided that I'm going to do it. That and its always a good thing to have a set of winter/summer wheels to swap out. My question is, as I have very limited knowledge on tires, what should I be looking at for tires for summer?
I don't do a lot of "mudding" or anything, nor do I travel a whole lot with my truck, but I would like to be able to do a little of everything with the summer tires. Something that gets decent traction in dirt, yet still is comfortable to ride on the highway.
I'm thinking on the lines of a Michelin because thats what my Fusion had and they were amazing on the road, but may be a little too pricey for what I'm looking at. Any suggestions would be great!
What I do though is spend money on new winter tires and use my old winter tires for summer use.
the old winter tires still have great tread for rainy days and such, but just not good enough tread that I am comfortable with for winter driving With them anymore
Michelin's all the way. I've been happy with MS2s but they have been discontinued (though you can still get them) and replaced with the Defender series.

Yes, Michelins can take a bite out of ones wallet but they’re worth it.
With that being, I’m a fan of the Michelin MS2’s.
These are the OEM tires that came on my 2016 F150 Lariat and I got over 100K miles out of a set before I replaced them a few weeks ago with another set.
Yes, they have been discontinued but you can still find them at Costco and other places and the replacement for them are the Michelin Defender’s.
The reviews on the Defenders are mixed compared to the MS2’s.
Thanks guys. Might just bite the bullet and get the Michelins. They were so smooth and quiet on my Fusion, I can't go wrong. Now I have to find a decent wheel. 🤔

For what it’s worth....
And thats a great idea! But the set I have now are brand new GoodYear Duratracs and for me were great in the winter so. Don't really want to swap them quite yet.
