Hey all, I’m looking to rewire my 71 F100 soon and can’t decide how I want to do it. Didn’t see any threads when I did a quick search.
I’ve seen a few different companies out there and each has a few options to redo my wiring harness. What have some of you done? Should I go with the dedicated harness that’s color coded with connectors for the truck ($800-900) or is it worth it to save money on a generic harness ($300-400) and deal with the connectors when I get to each.
The truck is stock and staying that way. I’m keeping the stock dash. It’s not a full rebuild, I’m just getting the old girl to be safe and reliable so she can get back on the road. Thanks!
I recommend spending the extra unless you like wiring and want to spend the time studying the Ford harness diagrams to determine how something should be wired. The universal harness are never exactly right for what you have.
