LOL yes it is addicting working on the truck, but its so darn nice when the work you put in pays off with positive results!
whole new front end=Drives better
Injector O rings=runs better
Rebuilt turbo= More power faster
install the aih code buster
SO for the next phase, just pulled the trigger and bought the Hydra chip from Riff Raff,
Guess i'll be buying gauges real soon too
Its only an addiction if i admit i have a problem RIGHT!
[QUOTE=RacinJasonWV;19290033]If you liked the other mods then you’ll be blown away by the Hydra!
Sorry, I can no longer do stock tunes....
And yes it is addicting but a healthy addiction. Keeps us out of other trouble.[/QUOT
lmao umm not really got a boat to get ready and just bought a camper last winter that I have been going through and getting ready for the coming season, and a bunch of drinkin buddies for the much neededmoral support!
So I am onto my next quest, gauges I want to do the quad pillar , just can’t see it blocking my view that bad! What gauges should I get exhaust temp
fuel pressue
oil pressure
what other would be good
I think my choices would be in this order
1) EGT
2) trans temp if auto
3) fuel pressure
4) boost
This was a topic of discussion in another thread recently. Not sure if you were in on that one.
The trans temp can actually be read from the PCM but the other 3 mentioned require dedicated gauges.
Personally I use the CTS to read PCM items(Trans) and the EGT. I have gauges for boost and fuel pressure.

Agreed 100% with Jason, and here's why.
EGT is absolutely required with tunes. You need to know when to let off the skinny pedal to save the engine.
Trans temp will show you actual data so you can make changes (gear down) before the OE dash needle suddenly goes atomic.
Fuel pressure since half of drivability questions depend on that. Boring but critical for diagnostics.
Boost is good to know to see if the intake and exhaust system is working properly.
X3 on (4) gauge kit. ISSPRO EV2 are the best IMHO.
As far as ‘addiction’ goes, I can quit anytime I want.
Pay no attention to all those empty boxes with yellow tape... And ALL of these ‘extra parts’ are FOR SALE, so I am definitely not a hoarder - by definition!!
Projects on hold for a minute, Dads not doing well, so probably hitching up the camper and heading out to florida! Nothing definite yet
Hoping the truck will be ok to drag me across the country!
as long as your tires aren’t crap on the truck or trailer I’m guessing you’ll make it fine. Make sure you’ve got a good spare for each and a complete jack kit. A torque wrench is not a bad idea either.

thanks I am sure everything will be fine but just never made such a trip with trailer behind me but it will be a good test , new tires on both the truck and trailer good spares for both going to do wheel bearings on the trailer tomorrow but look what just came in!
to bad gauges won’t be here till next week can’t wait that long! Gotta go see my dad!
