That is genuine Ford, and correct, probably only installed at the dealer, not from the factory, though. The same one was used for 57-60, I believe, and used strut supports that angled down and through the gravel-guard below the grill, which had to be drilled by the dealer. I do not know what they attached to, have only seen photos.

Not sure if those support struts are/were used on the 61-66 trucks, as I also have only ever seen photos. Grab them, if they do use them.I believe member 63flareside has or had one he’s trying to sell, he can answer that question.

That is '65-'66 only. '61-'64 were different do to the parking lights/ turn signals being down in the grill. Yes there are braces going through the grill to the frame, you can see them in the photo. Requires cutting a hole in the radiator support. I'm looking for one for my '66 if anyone comes across one for sale that is available.

Hole for the brace.

You can see here where the brace was bolted to the side of the frame.

Brace going through the grill.

I had one just like that on a '66, sold it to a 4x4 guy. Make sure you get precise measurements to locate the holes you'll have to make. Also, it would be smart to put it on a flat surface and check carefully for any slight bends in it.
Eric.

Rare to find these parts sold by themselves, most of the time you are forced to buy the whole truck! The bump side generator might fit earlier '65-'66 twin I beam fenders. I guessing the grill guard and generator are worth $500 each.
