Subwoofer removal

Does anyone know how the factory subwoofer comes out froma '98 expedition? I removed the panel and the 8 screws, but it still stays in. Is there a bolt in the rear of the woofer or is that just a very strong magnet?

I am also trying to remove the subwoofer in my 1997 Expedition and am having the same issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Would you possibly have the instructions on how to remove it from a 1997 Expediton also. I have it almost completely removed but it won't come out of the panel.

2001 Expedition Subwoofer Removal

I need assistance in removing the factory subwoofer please.

On the 01 Navigator/Expedition you have to remove the sub enclosure to get the sub out. Reason being is that there is a bolt in the back that holds the speaker to the enclosure along with the eight in the front. I have the factory manual so it went pretty good knowing what all I had to remove just to get the enclosure out.
