A few weeks ago I experienced Reduced Engine mode going into work. Cycled the key and it was like nothing ever happened. It did it again going home from work a few days ago. Both times it went into Reduced Engine Power with no DTCs IMMEDIATELY after starting a regent. Both times were able to be fixed with cycling of the key. I did however previously have a P21B0 but I filled the def tank. I got FORScan and enabled OCR and it says 0% full. On a Static Regen I says 20 out of 200 ( always been around 13-20 since playing with FORScan ). I’ve forced a regeneration twice with it immediately going into Reduced Engine Power. But it cancels so many minutes afterwards because it it was operator stopped when I didn’t do anything. I’ve been driving around for a while now without it going into REP lately. But when I run KOER it does find P1408 for EGR out of test range. And P1249 for a wastegate but that’s code should be off due to my tuning for a 17 retro turbo kit. KOEO sees no codes. No CEL in dash. My tuner sees no DTCs but has had P24A5 before. My cheap code reader consistently reads P24A5.
I’ve watched this YouTube video and noticed his solenoid pulls the level in for a while after shut down while mine closes immediately. No cracks in lines visible. EGR issue? Can it really put you into a limp mode for this? 54 K 2013 F250.
Here is a facebook link so you guys can see the videos i posted.
In some scan tools it's a menu option (separate section in IDS as well) or if you have OBDLink on mobile, it's a top menu item in diagnostics. However, I just remembered in FORScan I think the DTC screen provides freeze frame info in the log pane for the specific module.
The link just loads the group but I found your two videos. To confirm, you don't have any DTCs reported in FORScan as well?
That EGR issue can cause reduced engine power. Just trying to get some additional info in here so someone can try to better assist.
The tuner is a variable here. How many miles have you run with this non-OEM calibration?

on the way to the gym my truck goes back to REP mode. I could cycle the switch and it goes away. No DTC, but now I got P1555 for Cyl 5 performance.

forscan has given p1408/1249 on KOER test. No DTC.
no 54K total and only about 5-6K miles on any custom tunes. Those 5-6K miles took almost 3 years to drive as the truck sat a lot.
When my #5 injector began to fail, P02D5, I never got the reduced power message but the truck was in derate. I think you need to take it to a quality diesel shop and have them diag this to avoid throwing parts at it, don't clear any of the DTCs. They need to test the injectors and determine if that's the cause of the active regen stop. #5 is involved in the active regen. Mine would still regen with the #5 issue so I don't know what conditions allow or disallow an active regen with an unhealthy injector.
