I've had it on the road for about 20 years, saddest of the year is when I have to put to sleep but this day makes that a long distance memory.

I was hoping to drive mine on the road for the first time this spring. Unfortunately, to register it with DMV I have to get a VIN check at a CT Emission Testing Center which are all closed due to the virus. No word yet as to when the test centers or the DMV will reopen so it's still stuck in the garage. Every couple of weeks I drive it across the street and around the local cemetery to give it some exercise.

Great looking truck. I drive mine year round but, it sure doesn't look as good as that. One of these days I'll be able to get back on it.

Ct50f1, have you called CTDMV directly (it they answer the phone or maybe an email)? my granddaughter bought a car in NYS private sale. DMV is closed, could not register her car. the deal now is put all your paper work, title, check in an envelope and deposit in a box outside DMV. it worked. CT may not want to be creative or actually have a person actually come out and look at your car. sorry to hear this virus is keeping you from enjoying your job. dick r.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think CT DMV has a similar setup with a dropbox. My truck was bought out of state so it was never registered in CT. I can't put together the necessary paperwork until I pay $10 to a testing station and get a piece of paper that says the VIN number matches the title.

Still not registered but I was able to borrow a dealer plate and drive to a DMV testing sight in the the next town over to get the VIN verified. There are only 3 DMV offices in the state that are processing registration applications so on Tuesday I'll have to drive about 30 miles and drop off the paper work. If I filled out everything correctly, they say they expect it will take 4 weeks for them to process it. Anyway, I got to drive it down Main St. on my way out of town to get the VIN checked.

Looks very original. Man, they used small tires back in the day. (and they still loaded them beyond the bumpstops)
