Fitting the LP driveshafy to the HP D44. With the suspension at full droop, there is about 2" of extension in the driveshaft. There is about 1/4” more extension than that.
Is that enough extension to cover the axle at the bump stops? Not sure where to go from here.
That will be just fine. Set it tight at full droop and that will give you the added safety on the compression side and account for any axle wrap. Once fully shortened it's just ramming the back of your transfercase ahead, if it really needs to stretch it'll deform that rubber washer on the inside and be fine.
