front driveshaft
I got a dana 44 front end will the driveshaft from the 44 be a direct bolt up to a 79 dana 60 or the ujoints diff or the driveshaft has to be shorter .going to try a swap

The length of the driveshaft will almost certainly need to be modified. Also, the u-joint caps will probably be different sizes. It's really hard to tell because depending on the year, model, and options it could of came with just about any u-joint sizes, but i definitely wouldnt count on them being the same. It could be a 1310, 1330, 1330-f, or 1350, who knows? You could get lucky and it'll be the same size, or you might have to get a custom shaft made, or switch out yokes.

Dana 44 front driveshaft = 20 7/8" -long / 1310 u-joints / C8TZ-4841-A slip yoke.
Dana 60 front driveshaft = 19 17/32" -long / 1310 u-joints / C8TZ-4841-A slip yoke
